DispatchHealth is looking for a Lead DispatchHealth Medical Technician (DHMT) to join our growing team for the Denver Market

The Lead DHMT at DispatchHealth would need to be an experienced DHMT on a career pathway. This position would report directly to the Market Lead . The time requirements would be 20 hours a week admin, 20 hours a week clinical.

The Clinical Support Center/Care Team is critical to the success of DispatchHealth as this role impacts the patient’s first impression of DispatchHealth and supports our providers’ ability to provide on-demand clinical care. The CSC/Care Team Agent is responsible for phone triage of the patient’s clinical request through to scheduling a visit with a DispatchHealth clinical team.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Work with Lead APP to anticipate staffing needs/FTE requirements for market expansion/Car additions
  • Match DHMT to provider staffing
  • Open positions in job boards, as needed, and inform Director of Recruiting and Lead APP if additional support is needed to locate qualified candidates
  • Review CVs
  • Set up and conduct interviews/ride alongs
  • Work with Director of Recruiting on compensation and offers for new hires
  • Coordinate with HR for new hires and Background Checks
  • Photo coordination for IDs and scrub sizing w/HR


  • Schedule new DHMT on-boarding/training
  • Orientation: conduct in office training and arrange clinical training shifts
  • Skills review
  • Evaluate readiness for solo clinical practice
  • Provide support for initial clinical shifts with field support for new DHMTs
  • Coordinate task book check-offs and ensuring deadlines are met


  • Monthly DHMT scheduling in conjunction with the central scheduling
  • Payroll/Hour updates in scheduling system
  • Develop agenda and run quarterly DHMT meetings
  • Dashboard training/updates and coordination of issues to Product Development team


  • Team building and supporting Dispatch culture
  • Professional development support: Fostering relationships and coordinating meetings with Dispatch leadership
  • KPI/Metric review related to survey and credit card on file collection
  • Ride along/Resource Rides with DHMT as needed
  • Refine and perfect DHMT work-flows
  • DHMT evaluations, annual reviews and coaching
  • DHMT competency training & continuing education (skills updates, CME updates, DHMT teaching/pearls) in conjunction with Clinical Educator

Medical Technician

  • Patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs
  • IV starts and blood draws
  • Splint application
  • Wound care
  • Work directly with point of care laboratory equipment including operation, calibration and maintenance
  • Perform EKGs
  • Assist NP/PAs in the daily functions of a mobile emergency unit
  • Documentation
  • Supply and stocking

Minimum Qualifications

  • • Mid to upper level Medical Technician experience
  • • Medical Technician with IV Certification preferred
  • • EMT - Basic Certification with Colorado License
  • • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • • BLS, American Heart Association
  • • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • • 2 years managerial experience preferred
  • • Previous experience with Athena EMR a plus
